Tea with Anna Coroneo..

30 August 2014

Today’s article is a little different from my usual posts. For the very first time I am showcasing and speaking of a brand that has cartainly won a place in my heart (and dresser!).

Ideally, I would have loved a face-to-face interview. Instead, I’ve improvised what could have been the perfect “Tea with Anna Coroneo”…

Sydney born and Parsons graduate, Anna Coroneo, is the face behind the luxury accessories brand “Anna Coroneo”.
After occupying positions at Harper’s Bazaar, Theory and Henri Bendel, the talented artist and designer decided to create her own collection of artwork that translates across various areas of design; fashion, interiors, stationary, and accessories.

Coroneo is based between New York and London. Her use of happy colors, bold graphics, fruit, marine or botanical influences is in my sense, the ‘Coroneo signature’, inspired by her surroundings which she infuses into all her designs.

Anna’s hand-painted designs are printed onto a range of luxury fabrics in Lake Como, Italy, and come in various sizes.

The scarves can be found at the world’s best luxury stores including: Harrods, NET-A-PORTER and Bloomingdale’s.

Recently, Anna’s scarves were made available to the Asian market with distributors at the Lane Crawford Hong Kong and Beijing as well as Neiman Marcus.

Coroneo has exhibited her photographs and paintings internationally at solo, group shows and at art fairs worldwide since 2005, including Art Basel Miami, Art Sydney and The AAF in New York.

Anna Coroneo’s art is collected internationally and she has been commissioned by both private collectors and corporate clients. She has also been hosting events during New York Fashion week since 2009, and her unique prints feature on fashion items that sell in exclusive boutiques worldwide, including Henri Bendel in New York.

Anna Coroneo also enjoys collaborative projects and has worked with international companies to create exclusive artist series of products.

For these reasons and more, it is only natural that I am extremely honored to now own one of her creations, especially her most recent “hearts” mini scarf from the FW2014 collection.

As with all her packages, mine arrived in record time, beautifully wrapped and tied in white ribbon. It was also accompanied by a handwritten matching card containing the sweetest personalized message.

IMG_5799-0.JPGAs a token of my appreciation and respect for Anna’s work I promised her that I would style and interpret it in my next look book

You can see this special shoot featuring one of her newest creations in the next article entitled ” The color of love”.

    Ciao bella,

Such a lovely article ! I love how you presented the brand, and the concept of having tea with its owner is cute ! I’m impatient to see what look you came up with, so I’ll go check the next article, but let me tell you first that at her place, I would be so grateful for such a lovely article.
