Let’s take a stroll two weeks back to our trip to New York and Miami.
I know this is all a little overdue (yes, I’m still perfecting my blogging game), but I really wanted to share my travel experience with you all and maybe offer a few handy tips to anyone planning a trip to the USA in the near future.
New York has always been on my bucket list of things to do before I turn 30. I still can’t believe it’s taken me so long to pull it together. I guess I have Mr “Brass” to thank. Lol!
I started planning our trip late July 2014. At the time, I was hesitating between Thailand/Australia and NYC/Miami until I scored an amazing flight deal. I started searching for hotels shortly afterwards, with our usual preference for something modern and chic, and preferably close to Central Park. I then narrowed it down to a couple of hotels in Upper Manhattan before finally setting my heart on the Empire Hotel on the Upper Westside . And let me tell you, what a fabulous choice it was!
Elegant, Modern, and effortlessly glamorous, the Empire is a boutique Hotel located along West 63rd street in the New York City borough of Manhattan. With its edgy decor, the hotel offers sophisticated comfort, upscale amenities and five star guest service. The interior design reflects the earth tones of neighbouring Central Park and the modernism of Lincoln Center. It also boasts a spectacular rooftop pool deck and trendy bar terrace overlooking Upper Manhattan. So basically, not only is it the “port-of-call” par excellence during New York Fashion Week (ideally located just across from Lincoln Center where the majority of the MBFW take place annually), it definitely lives up to it’s “hottest-place-to-be” reputation. Thank you Chuck Bass….signed Gossip Girl. Lol!
The rest of our stay is best portrayed in images. But I’ll be sure to add a little explanatory text for all my dear bookworms.
Coming up, so stay tuned!
