The long wait is slowly coming to an end and in a few days we’ll be leaving for our extended summer vacation to buzzing New York and sunny Miami.
We initially wanted to do Thailand and Australia, but Lord knows how long I’ve been postponing this trip!
I can’t think of anything that gets my juices going more than planning a travel itinerary or choosing hotels and what to pack.
Traveling has become a huge part of my life. Wherever possible, I try to get out of town 3 or 4 times a year with at Ieast one international destination on a different continent. Yes, it is quite safe to say I suffer from a severe case of wanderlust. Lol!
As I’m still at the office till Wednesday, I haven’t entirely finished planning what we’ll be doing, so I’m counting on all you dear friends for ideas.
The problem with these sort of holidays, especially big Cities like New York or even Paris, is that there is so much to see and do but not enough time to do it all.
We’ve got 6 days to kill in the big apple. We’re keen on seeing the typical touristic attractions, but are mostly looking for the local hot-spots.
So far, the winners seem to be Tribeca, Soho, Greenwich, Chelsea, Flatiron, Midtown and Brooklyn. Naturally, we’d be extremely appreciative to hear about any other suggestions you may have from boutique local eateries, any places with character and absolute “must-do’s” when in New York.
I managed to get hold of a couple of travel guides, but nothing beats first hand travel tips from locals!
Can’t wait to read your suggestions and share my New York Story.
